About This Platform

Built for Nigerian Democracy

A community-driven election simulation that lets every Nigerian voice their mock choice — before, on, and after Election Day 2027.

A simulation, not an election

Nigeria Mock Election 2027 is a free, community-driven online platform that simulates the 2027 Nigerian Presidential and Governorship elections. It is built for civic engagement, political discourse, and entertainment — not as a replacement or interference with the official electoral process.

Participants generate a purple-and-gold Virtual Voter's Card, cast a mock ballot, and watch real-time results roll in state by state — just like a real election night, but entirely online and entirely unofficial.

No real votes are counted here. No official results are produced. This is a mirror of public sentiment, not a record of it.

Zero government infrastructure

This platform is built entirely on open web technologies with no government infrastructure or data involved.

☁️
Cloudflare Pages
Static hosting with global CDN. No server to crash under election-day traffic.
🔥
Firebase Firestore
Real-time database powering the live leaderboard. Votes update instantly across all devices.
🎨
HTML Canvas
Your Virtual Voter's Card is generated entirely in your browser. No image data sent to any server.
🔒
Browser Fingerprinting
ThumbmarkJS + Cloudflare Turnstile prevent automated bot voting and duplicate submissions.

One person, one vote

Even though this is a simulation, we enforce a single-vote rule to keep results meaningful. Each participant can vote once using their unique Virtual Identification Number (VIN). Attempts to vote multiple times are blocked via browser fingerprinting, LocalStorage locking, and server-side VIN verification on Firebase.

Results represent the genuine distribution of mock votes cast — not manipulated tallies. Automated bot traffic is blocked by Cloudflare Turnstile.

Common questions

Is this affiliated with INEC?
No. This platform has absolutely no affiliation with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the Federal Government of Nigeria, or any state government. It is an independent community project.
Does my vote here count in the real election?
No. Votes cast on this platform have zero legal effect. They are not transmitted to INEC or any official body. This is a simulation for civic engagement and entertainment only. To vote in the real 2027 election, register with INEC.
Is my Virtual Voter's Card a real ID document?
No. The Virtual Voter's Card is a purely decorative, simulated card for sharing on social media. It is marked "MOCK VOTER'S CARD — NON-OFFICIAL SIMULATION" and cannot be used as identification for any official purpose. Attempting to use it as an official document would be fraudulent and illegal.
What data do you collect?
We collect only what is necessary to run the simulation: the name and state you enter, your generated VIN, your vote choices, and a browser fingerprint for anti-abuse purposes. We do not collect phone numbers, National Identification Numbers, BVN, or any sensitive personal data. Your card image is generated entirely on your device and never uploaded to our servers.
Can I vote more than once?
No. Each VIN can only be used to vote once. Multiple votes from the same browser or device are blocked automatically. This keeps the results fair and representative.
Who built this platform?
This is a community-built project created as a civic engagement and electoral awareness tool ahead of Nigeria's 2027 general elections. It is privately funded and maintained, with no government or party sponsorship.
